The Centre for Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, is accepting applications for its MA in Cultural Studies for 2014-15.

The MA in Cultural Studies provides an intensive study in cultural and critical theory and in substantive cultural studies. Two core courses covering the breadth and genealogy of advanced contemporary theory are complemented by a range of options that introduce a material focus to the theory covered—for instance, in digital and genetic media, in urban space, in the creative industries, in art and in textual, visual and audial cultures. The programme allows students to follow their own interests in cultural analysis and provides a solid groundwork for those wishing to proceed to more advanced research in cultural and critical theory. The MA may be studied in 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time.

Goldsmiths' Centre for Cultural Studies is a leading centre of postgraduate teaching and research dedicated to theoretical and practical explorations in contemporary culture. The Centre offers a wide range of modules taught by internationally recognised research staff with expertise in critical and cultural theory, Continental philosophy and aesthetics, media technologies, software, art, comparative literature, and global geo-politics. Renowned for its innovative research and interdisciplinary engagement, Goldsmiths is a unique member of London's thriving intellectual community and partakes of the University of London's unparalleled research services and resources.
