The Editorial Board of the Revista Universitaria de Historia Militar (RUHM) is pleased to announce the call for papers for its two next issues, corresponding to the months from July to December of 2017 and January to June of 2018.

The RUHM is a journal focused on strengthening social, cultural and socio-cultural approaches in the field of war studies. Also, the RUHM is committed with quality, as showed by his inclusion in academic indexes like ESCI-Thomson Reuters or ERIHPlus.

The journal is open to receive original articles related to war studies from ancient times until nowadays, with special preference for innovative works regarding interpretation, sources and methodology (http://ruhm.es/index.php/RUHM/about/submissions#authorGuidelines). Equally, reviews about books that do not exceed three years since their publication will be also accepted. Regarding the latter, we are looking for reviewers for the following books, so interested people can email us and we can provide a review copy by talking with the publisher:

-Paul A. RAHE: The Spartan Regime: Its Character, Origins and Grand Strategy (Yale University Press, 2016)

-Conor WHATELY: Battles and Generals: Combat, Culture, and Didacticism in Procopius’ Wars (Brill, 2015)
