We would like to cordially invite you to apply to the Gender Studies track of the Frankfurt Summer School 2019 under the title ‘Decolonisation and Feminisms’ in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), organized by the Cornelia Goethe Center and the GRADE Center Gender.

This two weeks module for advanced master students provides insight into theoretical approaches of current feminist theory focusing on postcolonial/decolonial thought. Seminar presentations and discussions are accompanied by lighthouse lectures and practical experiences like face-to-face encounters with local activists and a walking tour along Frankfurt’s colonial ‘sights’.

The Gender Studies Track of the Summer School will take place from August 5 to August 15. The seminars will be held in English and the program includes excursions and study tours as well as an optional German language course.

The applications are open for (advanced) Master Students until April 30, 2019.

Further information about the content of the summer school as well as organizational matters can be found in the overview about the Gender Studies Track and on the website of the Frankfurt Summer School http://summerschool.uni-frankfurt.de/.

Feel free to contact the International Office of the Goethe University at summerschool@em.uni-frankfurt.de for any further questions or inquiries.
