1 Startstipendium des Doktoratsprogramms Altertumswissenschaften der Univerität Basel

Das Doktoratsprogramm Altertumswissenschaften der Universität Basel schreibt ein einjähriges Startstipendien à je CHF 30‘000 aus (in zwei Tranchen mit Evaluation). Der Antritt des Stipendiums erfolgt zum 1. April 2017

Ihre Aufgaben:
Die Stipendien dienen der Unterstützung während der Startphase des Doktorats. Im ersten halben Jahr müssen die StipendiatInnen einen Förderantrag ausarbeiten um sich beim Schweizerischen Nationalfonds oder einer anderen Förderinstitution um die weitere Finanzierung ihres Promotionsprojektes zu bewerben.

Ihr Profil:
Erwartet werden eine hohe Motivation sich im Rahmen des Doktoratsprogramms zu engagieren sowie die Immatrikulation an der Universität Basel. Das Stipendium richtet sich an Studierende, die über einen überdurchschnittlichen Masterabschluss in den Altertumswissenschaften verfügen. Erwünscht ist ein Disser¬tationsvorhaben, das in den Forschungsschwerpunkten des Departements Altertumswissenschaften der Universität Basel verortet ist und ab dem Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme in das Doktoratsprogramm von einer/einem Dozierenden des Departements als Erst- oder Zweitbetreuer/in begleitet wird.

1 «bourse de démarrage» du programme doctoral des Sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université
de Bâle

Dans le cadre du programme doctoral des Sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université de Bâle, 1 «bourse de démarrage» d’une année est mise au concours. Dotée de CHF 30'000 (en deux tranches, avec évaluation), la bourse prendra effet au 01.04.2017

Vos tâches :
Les bourses doivent servir à soutenir les doctorants et doctorantes durant la phase de début de thèse. Dans les premiers six mois les boursiers et boursières doivent déposer une demande de subvention auprès du Fonds National de Recherche Suisse ou d’une autre institution de financement de la recherche.

Votre profile :
La bourse est destinée à des étudiants disposant d’un excellent diplôme de Master ou de Licence en Sciences de l’Antiquité. Le/la boursier/boursière est motivé à s’engager dans le cadre du programme doctoral. Le/la candidat(e) sera engagé dans un projet de thèse qui se situe dans une des disciplines du Département des Sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université de Bâle; la recherche sera encadrée dès le moment de l’intégration au programme doctoral par un/une des enseignant(e)s du Département comme premier ou second directeur de thèse.

One PhD scholarship (1 year) within the Department of Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel

The PhD program of the Department of Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel announces a one-year scholarship starting at the 1st of April 2017 (á CHF 30'000 per year; two tranches with evaluation).

Your tasks:
The grant is intended to support a young graduate during the starting phase of his/her PhD research project. It is expected that he/she will develop his/her research project in that time for applying to the Swiss National Science Foundation or other funding institutions at the end of that year.

Your profile:
The scholarship is addressed to students who held a 1st class MA‐degree either in Egyptology, Classical Archaeology, Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Ancient History, Greek Philology, Latin Philology, Comparative and Historic Linguistics or European Archaeology. It is expected that the PhD student is highly motivated and will personally be involved in the PhD program of the Department of Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel. Most welcomed are PhD projects that can be linked to the research fields of the Department of Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel. The PhD student has to choose from the date of admission to the doctoral program a first or second supervisor from the Department of Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel.
