This fellowship program supports Research on the legacies of
Europe in the history of Ukraine. Topics include modern intellectual,
cultural, social and political history. Themes related to urban
studies or to one of the IWM's research fields (pls see
www.iwm.at/research) are likewise welcome.
The candidate will spend 10 months from September 2015 to
June 2016 at the IWM in Vienna. He or she will receive a stipend
to cover accomodation, living expenses, travel, health insurance
and incidentals during the stay at the Institute.
Eligibility
Candidates for the Fellowship
- must be Ukrainian citizens or permanently reside in Ukraine for purposes of study or research
- must be enrolled in a doctoral program or have recently obtained a Ph.D.
- must not be older than 35 years
Application
Applications have to include:
- a project proposal in English (max. 3 double-spaced pages)
- a curriculum vitae in English
- a list of publications
- two letters of recommendation by scholars familiar with the applicant’s academic work
