The Department of History at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey announces the retirement of its esteemed colleagues John Gillis and Donald R. Kelley

The department now searches for a senior historian of Europe since 1500, intellectual, cultural, or social history preferred. Review of files will begin on March 1, 2004, and the appointment will be effective September 1, 2005.
