2 Doctoral Candidates (PhD students) in History of Education within the FNR (Fonds National de la Recherche) funded project FAMOSO-2 (Fabricating Modern Societies: Industries of Reform as Educational Responses to Societal Challenges, ca. 1880-1930, Part 2) (F/M)

Your Role

Position 1:

PhD position in Life Conduct, Consumer Culture and Housing in the Framework of the Research Project FAMSOSO - 2

In the framework of the research project FAMOSO-2 and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Karin Priem the PhD-student will:

- engage in archival research related to the work package ‘Life Conduct, Consumer Culture and Health’, contribute to the general hypotheses and objectives of the research project by analysing archival materials according to the methodological perspectives and research questions of the project in general and of his/her specific work package;
- contribute and engage in project meetings, integrate in an international research team, and support the other project members;
- contribute to organizational tasks of the project (e.g. the annual report of project outcomes asked by the Fonds National de la Recherche Luxembourg, organization of a conference) and other activities within the team;
- specialize in the domain of cultural history and educational reform

Position 2:

PhD position in Child and Youth Welfare in the Framework of the Research Project FAMSOSO - 2
