"Francia. Forschungen zur westeuropäischen Geschichte", ist eine wissenschaftliche Fachzeitschrift, die vom Deutschen Historischen Institut Paris herausgegeben wird. Bis 2008 erschien sie in jährlich drei Bänden, die dem Mittelalter, der Frühen Neuzeit – Revolution – Empire sowie dem 19./20. Jahrhundert gewidmet waren und die den jeweiligen Epochen zugehörige Rezensionen neu erschienener Publikationen enthielten. Mit dem Online-Gang von perspectivia.net (Online-Publikationsplattform für die Geisteswissenschaften) erscheinen die Rezensionen der "Francia" seit 2008 als "Francia-Recensio" ausschließlich online unter dem Dach der Plattform, um dem Anspruch rascher und weltweiter Verfügbarkeit dieses Mediums Rechnung zu tragen. Die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek als Kooperationspartner von perspectivia.net sorgt für die Sacherschließung, Verschlagwortung und Langzeitarchivierung der Rezensionen, so dass diese über die plattformeigene Suche, über die gängigen Suchmaschinen sowie über Bibliothekskataloge recherchiert und angesteuert werden können und dauerhaft zitierbar sind.
Die aktuelle Ausgabe von Francia-Recensio enthält 164 Rezensionen aus den Bereichen Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit und Neueste Geschichte.
